CF Fertilisers’ Annual Awards

In May 2024, we had the pleasure of organising CF Fertilisers’ Annual Awards, marking the company’s inaugural internal ceremony dedicated to honouring and celebrating their employees. Held at The Riverside Stadium in Middlesborough, the event was hosted by the beloved Kirsten O’Brien and featured thirteen awards including Apprentice of the Year, General Manager’s Special Award, and Unsung Hero. Additionally, we acknowledged employees with long-standing service, some of whom had dedicated up to 45 years to the company, as well as recent retirees.
BeaconHouse Events oversaw every aspect of the event, from managing nominations and the judging process to crafting scripts, staging, AV arrangements, sourcing trophies, and liaising with the venue, with the goal to ensure that the event would be an unforgettable experience for all.
“I’m blown away by how well put together and well run the events are and there are always final unique touches that I wasn’t quite expecting, which just makes them that little bit more special.” Martin Liddle, General Manager CF Fertilisers

HyHeroes Awards 2023

The HyHubs HyHeroes Awards 2023 celebrated the brilliant people, organisations, and initiatives of the HyHubs community. The awards recognised the trend setters, the new kid on the block, the coolest workspace, the best boss, the most successful story, and more!
Tyne Bank Brewery in Byker was the backdrop for this special occasion, adorned with gold foil curtains, it brought the theme of Phoenix Nights to life. Paired with comedy from our host Gary Kitching, a little bit of close-up magic from Glenn Ward and live entertainment from ‘The Castanets’ band, it really was a night to remember!
BeaconHouse Events worked with the HyHubs team and expertly managed the judging process, ticketing, budget, script writing, awards slides, stage dressing, AV, entertainment, catering, and venue.
“Overall, 10/10. The announcers get 15/10 absolute naturals!! Even if they were nervous, they were fantastic. BeaconHouse did amazing on the night with sound and food organisation. Thank you so much for a lovely memorable night. Looking forward to next year!” 2023 Attendee

Two of the stand-out events BeaconHouse have taken from concept to delivery are the hugely anticipated Dynamo Dinner, and always sold out Dynamites Awards.

Dynamo’s future includes an enhanced number of events to encourage networking and collaboration; more perks and benefits for members, and new attempts to get more people to celebrate the successes of the region’s tech sector we are excited to work with Sarah, Sophie and the whole BeaconHouse team as we continue that journey.”

David Dunn, CEO of Dynamo and Sunderland Software City

Planet Mark Awards 2023

We had the pleasure of working with the Planet Mark on the 6th edition of their annual awards for 2023. Back at The Royal Institution, London allowed for 350 guests to come together and celebrate incredible achievements in sustainability.

Working alongside Planet Mark, we looked after guest booking and management, sponsorship relationship management, budget management and cost control. Together with management of the entries and judging process, script writing and production, production of staging and AV, venue management and liaison and venue dressing.
To our amazing Awards team
We have a tendency at Planet Mark and at BeaconHouse to move swiftly literally to the next event, as evidenced seeing you, Katie and your fabulous team at the _shift conference a week later! But I would like to take this moment in time, having reflected on just how meaningful this year’s awards have been for us, Planet Mark and our mission. It literally is our launch pad for our next 10 years.
Not only were our team and members spiritually and emotionally lifted by the event, this halo extended to our new family at Alcumus and their owners at Apax.
My email, LinkedIn and meetings have been busy with comments about how great it is to see Planet Mark doing our work and I wanted to let all of you mentioned here know, that you had a truly significant part to play in that.
The word progression has been used so often in relation to the Awards but is much more than that, as people have reflected that it extols our values, reaching hundreds of people.
This is another huge thank you for making it possible and was great to catch up on our exciting briefing session yesterday, as we plan out how we might make it even better.
Steve Malkin, CEO & Founder, The Planet Mark

Dynamites Awards 2022

#Dynamites22 was an extraordinary celebration of the North East’s IT and technology industry, drawing an awe-inspiring crowd of over 520 guests. The Great Hall at Newcastle Civic Centre was the perfect setting for this grand occasion, with BeaconHouse Events at the helm, proudly presenting this annual event on behalf of Dynamo North East since 2014. From sponsorship generation to the judging process and the actual awards ceremony itself, every aspect was expertly managed and executed, making #Dynamites22 a night to remember!

I know I said it last night, but just to reiterate, I thought yesterday was brilliant and it was amazing just to watch you and the wider Beacon House work and not have to worry about a thing!

David Dunn | Sunderland Software City and CEO, Dynamo North East

It was a pleasure to participate and to see how big the event is becoming. This clearly shows how much impact Dynamo has on the digital ecosystem – made possible by the great work of the BeaconHouse team. Well done for pulling off another great evening!

Planet Mark Awards 2022

We worked with the Planet Mark on the 5th edition of their annual awards for 2022. Unfortunately train strikes forced some last-minute contingency planning and saw the event being pushed to January 2023. If anything, the slight delay caused even more excitement around the event! This year moving to a new venue, The Royal Institution, London allowed for a record number of 350 guests to come together and celebrate incredible achievements in sustainability.

Working alongside Planet Mark, we looked after guest booking and management, sponsorship relationship management, budget management and cost control. Together with management of the entries and judging process, script writing and production, production of staging and AV, venue management and liaison and venue dressing.
“We worked with BeaconHouse Events on our Planet Mark Awards over a period of 12 months in our most recent Awards, which were our largest and best yet with over 400 guests in the Royal Institution, London. From start to finish, they were extremely communicative and easy to work with. They put in a tremendous effort to ensure that every detail was taken care of in the lead up to, on the day of, and in the wrap-up of our Awards. We had a major spanner thrown in the works when the event needed to be postponed, and while this could have caused major issues, their team was able to manage this change smoothly and with the minimum of impact.
We’ve been working with the BeaconHouse team for many years enabling us to organise and manage our Planet Mark Awards. From the outset they have been amazing. They have proven themselves to be extremely professional and reliable, and always responsive to our preferences with regards to event management, content and budget. Their efforts to minimise environmental impact is also greatly appreciated by us.”
Steve Malkin | CEO & Founder, Planet Mark

“I just wanted to say an absolutely huge big massive thank you for ….well, everything. The Tour and the Awards have all be exceptional and it’s really down to your amazing professionalism.”

Claire Warmsley-Moss Head of Marketing, Planet Mark

BIM Show Live & BIM Awards 2020

After BIM Show Live’s continued success in the North East from 2017, BeaconHouse Events were asked again to manage and deliver the event. BIM Show Live is one of the most trusted information-sharing platforms for Building Information Modelling (BIM).  The event was a hugely popular, with almost 400 national and international delegates and a popular BIM Inspiration Day held for classes from across the North East. The event featured keynotes, panels and interactive seminar sessions and a bustling Exhibition Hall to keep delegates engaged across two days. Including an awards ceremony with ‘geordie’ vegan sausage rolls, this was the BIM event not to miss. The conference theme was ‘BIM for Good’ and we took on the challenge and worked with the venue and suppliers on eco-friendly options. Meetings where possible were conducted online, vegetarian and vegan food sourced locally, and no delegate programmes were printed. Delegates and speakers were asked to bring their own re-usable cups and bottles for their caffeine and hydration hits.

“The BeaconHouse Events team can literally take any brief, and make the magic happen! I trust these girls with all my BIM Show Live events now for the international digital construction crowd.”
Rob Charlton, Space Group
