We were delighted to be approached to work with Newcastle Building Society to deliver a series of eight Member Listening Events designed to strengthen relationships and create meaningful dialogue between colleagues and members. Following an in-depth brief to understand the objectives of the event series, our team took ownership of every detail to ensure a seamless and meaningful experience for both the client and their members.
Our work began with extensive venue research to identify spaces across the North East that provided the right atmosphere for open conversation, that responded to the community needs of the event and adhered to our risk and accessibility audits. Once selected, we managed all venue liaison, including catering, room set up, accessibility, health and safety and onsite coordination. Alongside this, we handled the logistics; from creating the running order, branding management, handling insurance and legal compliance and technical setup to the overall flow of the event, so the client could focus entirely on engaging with their members meaningfully and without interruption.
Communication was a key part of the process. We prepared clear attendee information, ensuring members felt enabled to make the most of their time at the event and could access all aspects with clarity. To further enhance the social impact of these events, we introduced our sustainability partnership with Olio, implementing a food waste reduction strategy that brought together both BeaconHouse Event’s and Newcastle Building Society’s values in eliminating food waste and giving back to the local community.
We spent time evaluating the events, learning from the data gathered to make a series of recommendations and an action plan to take forward for improve impact (societal and environmental) and overall experience.
These events were more than gatherings, they were opportunities to listen, learn and build trust. We’ve loved working with Newcastle Building Society over the years and look forward to carry on the partnership to deliver meaningful impact one event at a time.
