In September 2025, BeaconHouse delivered the third annual Leadership Conference for CF Fertilisers at Redworth Hall Hotel, bringing together over 30 leaders from the company’s UK sites in Billingham and Chester as part of its ongoing staff engagement series.
With a focus on Engagement, the conference was hosted by radio presenter John Foster and featured a keynote from Tony Underwood, former England and Lions’ rugby player, commercial pilot, and performance coach, who shared his Engage–Empower–Elevate–Embed model for building high-performing cultures. Tony also led a practical workshop to help embed the learnings into workplace practice.
Delegates then took part in ‘Six in Sixty’ facilitated by Speedkix UK; a fast-paced team-building activity combining carnival-style challenges and memory tasks, focussed on strategy. The day closed with 2026 Goal Setting, led by General Manager Martin Liddle, providing clarity and momentum for the year ahead. Later that same week, CF Fertilisers was named ‘Best Place to Work’ at the North East Business Awards, recognition of the strong culture that quality events like this help to foster.
