Co-founded and delivered by BeaconHouse Events, the Business with Impact Dinner was created to unite purpose-led organisations across the region. Hosted at Newcastle’s first food-surplus café, Magic Hat, the inaugural event in March 2025 brought together like-minded business leaders to share ideas, forge connections, and explore how collaboration can accelerate collective impact.
BeaconHouse developed the full event concept from branding and communications through to sustainable event design, stakeholder engagement and onsite delivery. Every detail was shaped to reflect our commitment to responsible, inclusive, and low-impact events. Waste was kept to a minimum, carbon was tracked and offset, and 10% of all ticket sales were donated to local community initiative Project Bind.
Designed around the themes of community, environment, and wellbeing, the evening encouraged authentic conversation, with guests delivering five-minute lightning talks that sparked inspiration and action long after the dinner ended.
The event’s success has laid the foundations for a growing network of businesses committed to doing good – proof that when purpose drives connection, impact follows.
