Award-winning North East based event agency BeaconHouse Events is partnering with Visit Belfast to extend its reach into Northern Ireland, recognising the city’s emergence as one of the UK and Ireland’s most exciting and sustainable event destinations.
The partnership recognises Belfast’s growing potential for sustainable, world-class events and potential as a vibrant, forward-thinking event city.
Cat Duhaut, co-founder and director of BeaconHouse Events said, “Belfast is my home city and it has everything you could want from an event destination. It’s incredibly amenable as an event city, with world-class venues like the ICC, award-winning sustainability initiatives, and a genuinely collaborative local network which mirrors the community we see in the North East. There’s a lot of creative energy here and we’re excited to be part of it.”
Judith Abraham, Head of Business Events at Visit Belfast, said, “We’re delighted to announce our partnership with BeaconHouse Events as we continue to position Belfast as a dynamic and world-class destination for business events. This collaboration strengthens our shared ambition to deliver impactful events that attract global audiences, drive economic growth, and showcase the city’s unique blend of innovation, culture and warm hospitality.”
The partnership follows a year which has seen BeaconHouse Events’ dedication to sustainability continuing to be a key driver of the business’ success, propelled by major client wins, numerous awards for sustainable event delivery and approach, including being named as one of the Top 30 most sustainable UK event agencies by micebook and event:decision, and a commitment to a five year ESG strategy.
Sinead Sharkey Steenson, Founder of ‘Impact Players‘, a leadership conference taking place in Belfast in May 2026 said, “This is the second year we’ve been working with BeaconHouse Events to deliver ‘Impact Players‘ at the ICC Belfast. The event has nearly doubled in size for 2026 and having the support and expertise of the event team has given us time to focus on building strategic relationships to maximise the potential of ‘Impact Players’, and shape a meaningful event that meets our aims and objectives and creates a game-changing experience for our community of business and sports professionals. ‘Impact Players’ has thrived with the support of organisations with a vested interest in elevating their leadership game. With the ongoing support of BeaconHouse we can dedicate more time to active collaboration to ensure everyone who needs to be in the room IS in the room, having the conversations that need to happen.”
Belfast’s commitment to sustainability and responsible event practice aligns closely with BeaconHouse’s focus on delivering high-quality events that minimise environmental impact and support local communities. The city’s ongoing recognition, including the ICC Belfast and Visit Belfast’s numerous global sustainability awards, cements its position as a leader in delivering events with purpose.
While BeaconHouse is already delivering events in Belfast, this partnership will allow the team to strengthen local ties with suppliers, venues, regional partners and universities to support sustainable supply chain engagement and showcase the city’s appeal to the corporate and international association markets.
Cat continued, “We care about creating events that leave a positive impact while also working collaboratively with partners to support the events sector to make more conscious choices as a whole, and Belfast offers an incredible platform to continue that work. It’s a city that’s living and breathing the values that matter most to our industry.”
“While BeaconHouse Events will continue to be headquartered in our North East home that we love, as we look ahead to 2026, the team plans to spend much more time in Belfast and across Northern Ireland, supporting clients, championing local partnerships, and continuing to raise the bar for responsible event delivery and we would love to talk events with more organisations who want to make great things happen.”
