In May 2025, BeaconHouse delivered a sun-soaked seaside celebration for Leighton’s latest company day. Set in the St Mary’s Lighthouse Suite at Spanish City, with sweeping views of Whitley Bay coastline, the setting perfectly captured the playful spirit of the day.

As ever, our team handled everything from venue sourcing and AV to theming, scripting and onsite management. This edition brought a burst of coastal charm, complete with Leighton-branded rock, colourful beach balls, and a surprise ice cream break on the promenade, complete with custom wafers. A traditional fish and chip lunch hit just the right nostalgic note, and one lively session even saw team members donning sea creature costumes to bring the seaside vibes to life.

As the sunshine carried into the evening, the celebrations moved down the coast to Crusoes on Longsands. Here, we hosted the internal awards ceremony alongside classic fairground games like roll-a-coin and ring-a-bottle — topped off with a spontaneous round of ‘plodging‘ in the sea to make the most of the glorious weather.

It was a joy to help bring the beach to business and support Leighton in delivering another unforgettable company day.
