In July 2026, BeaconHouse Events was proud to support The Light Dragoons with the Presentation of the New Guidon, a significant occasion in the Regiment’s history. Held within the spectacular setting of Richmond Castle, the ceremony brought together serving personnel, veterans, families and invited guests to mark a moment that had not taken place since the Regiment’s previous Guidon presentation in 1995.
Steeped in military tradition and heritage, the event celebrated the Regiment’s service, values and identity while providing an opportunity for the wider regimental family to come together for this once-in-a-generation occasion. Against the backdrop of one of Yorkshire’s most historic landmarks, guests witnessed the formal ceremonial parade before gathering for a celebratory luncheon and a programme of associated social events across the weekend.
BeaconHouse Events worked closely with the Regiment and key stakeholders to coordinate the event logistics, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees while respecting the ceremonial nature of the occasion. From managing event operations, supplier coordination, health and safety and onsite delivery whilst working with the curatorial team at English Heritage to maintain the integrity of the site during the event build and breakdown. Our team was proud to play a role in bringing this historic event to life.
Delivering an event of this scale within a heritage venue required detailed planning, strong stakeholder engagement and meticulous operational oversight. Our focus throughout was on creating an experience that balanced military tradition with guest comfort, ensuring the event ran smoothly for all involved while honouring the significance of the day.
Our scope included event logistics and planning, stakeholder liaison, sponsor liaison, venue coordination, supplier management, event operations, onsite delivery and health and safety management.
